If you want to be a Mom.....
This morning Kyle raised my shirt high enough to expose my belly, folded his hands and said, "Please God put a baby in there." Well, tonight at my parent's house I was telling my Mom the story and he said to my Mom, "You get a baby in yours, too." He then proceeded to ask how babies get in bellies. Keeping the details very simple - we stated with lots of love and with God's help. My Mom explained to him that God doesn't put the babies in Grandmas' bellies just Mommies' bellies. As we're driving home I hear Kyle tell Hannah, "Hannah, so if you want a baby when you grow up you have to grow up and be a Mommy like Mommy.....not a Grandma!

Carrots
Hannah spent the night at my parents' house last night. As they were eating supper, my Mom said to Hannah, "Eat your carrots. Carrots make your eyes pretty." Hannah replied, "Well, Mamaw, carrots will go down......not up!"

Kyle Cracks Me Up!
I was just in Kyle's room tucking him in and telling him goodnight and this is what he says to me, "Oh, Mommy, you smell so good. I want you to be my air conditioner (meaning freshener)!"
As I was walking out of the room he says, "No! My air freshener can't walk away."

Anyone know a rich Tooth Fairy?
This evening as we were driving home from school Kyle says to me, "Mommy, I can't wait to lose a tooth!" When I asked him why he said, "Because I want the Tooth Fairy to bring me 500 bucks!"

Twilight
Today during Mass the reading had the word twilight in it. Kyle said, "Mommy, did you hear that? He said Twilight!" Oh....atleast I know he was listening.

Issues
Kyle just walked into the kitchen. Our conversation is as follows:
Kyle: "Mommy, you have issues."
Me: "Kyle, what? That's not very nice."
Kyle: "Really? What do issues mean?"
Me: "Where did you hear that, anyway?"
Kyle: "On Phineus and Furb"
I may just be banning cartoons from our house!

Kyle...So Sweet
Hannah got out of bed this morning and I said, "Hannah, come give me a hug." Kyle said, "No, Hannah come give me a hug first. Who you gonna give a hug to first." Then he added, "Remember, I make all the castles for you."
By the way, Kyle got the first hug from her.

Breakfast in Bed
This morning Kyle got up and ran downstairs to prepare breakfast in bed for me. It was so sweet. He brought me a cup of fruit, piece of toast, granola bar and caramel corn rice cakes with a glass of water. Then he yelled, "I made such a big breakfast so that you and Daddy could share it." Then on his way back down the stairs he yells, "You know what I want to be when I grow up.....a chef!
You are well on your way, Bubby!

Recent Kyle Quotes
Kyle: "Mommy, do you think I am God or something because you just asked me to do two things at the same time?"
Kyle talking to Natalie and myself: "Are you two going to come swimming or are you just going to talk about FaceBook all day."
Kyle after me telling him to surprise me by cleaning up all his toys: "Well, I can't because it's not going to be a surprise if you already know what it is."

Another Blog
I have decided to start another blog after having a conversation with my sister-in-law, Natalie, the other day. We were discussing the funny things Kyle has been saying lately. I said he has always humored me with the words he comes up with. I wish I would've thought to keep a record when he first started talking, so better late than never. Here it is......a place I can journal the things my kids say that I want to remember. I look forward to putting it into a book one day so I will always have these words to cherish....these words that make my day!
